Davide Tiso, the founder of bizarre avant-metal group Ephel Duath, has collaborated with producer and Ashes founder Eraldo Bernocchi to form an ambient project called Parched.  This endeavor appears just as out-there as Tiso’s other band, with the goal to "try to capture and recreate the sound of a desert/urban desert atmosphere" using only two guitars and layers of effects.  The duo have so far completed ten songs, two of which are streamable at the Parched MySpace page.

Ephel Duath, meanwhile, are fresh off a European tour to support their recent release "Pain Necessary to Know" and the follow-up remix album "Pain Remixes the Known."
