Coming Soon: Nagelfar Re-Releases

German label Ván is currently in the process of re-releasing Nagelfar’s three studio albums.  The Virus West re-release came out in july, and "Hünengrab Im Herbst" and "Srontgorrth" should follow in early 2008.  Vinyl versions of both albums will also be available.

Nagelfar was a German progressive black metal band whose music was typified by long, complex songs alternating melody, brutality and atmospheric passages.  Their musical variation and skillful songwriting should appeal to fans of all types of metal.

Drummer Alexander von Meilenwald has started a new project called The Ruins of Beverast, which borrows some of his former band’s progressive elements, but creates a much darker and more oppressive sound.  The result resembles a black metal/doom metal hybrid, with some industrial leanings and operatic chants thrown in for good measure.  The group has released two albums: 2007’s "Rain Upon the Impure" and 2006’s "Unlock the Shrine."

Ván’s releases are distributed in the US through The End Records and Aquarius Records
