The artist behind the otherworldly visuals for Blut Aus Nord and the Appease Me label seems to enjoy an air of mystery. The Asymetric Entity website, much like the Appease Me and Blut Aus Nord websites, is quite cryptic and difficult to navigate due to the graphics-heavy presentation and lack of conspicuous links. It took a bit of digging to learn that French graphic designer David Cragné is the man behind Asymetric Entity.

At the Asymetric Entity website, you can find updates on Cragné’s current projects and a huge PDF file displaying much of his past artwork for Blut Aus Nord, Appease Me, Reverence, and other artists. Cragné’s style ranges from the very abstract to photos of stylized industrial landscapes and depictions of bleak, alien worlds. Some of his web projects, such as the Blut Aus Nord site, are notable for their use of ambient sounds which supplement the visual appearance of the site.
