Cynic’s “Traced In Air” Coming Soon
Cynic’s new album “Traced in Air” will be released in the USA on November 17th. Hardcore fans can order the 1000-copy Collector’s Box edition from Season of Mist, which includes the album in acrylic DVD case, a t-shirt, a USB flash drive, a guitar pick, an exclusive book and some stickers. The box also contains a one-of-a-kind translucent 20 page journal booklet with personal notes, lyric sketches, and rare photos chronicling Paul Masvidal’s creative process and the album’s origins. “Traced in Air” will be Cynic’s first release since 1993’s “Focus,” which is widely considered a classic of the technical death metal genre. The new album shows some evolution in the band’s sound while still including the trademark Cynic elements: death vocals are mixed in with clean singing, and highly melodic interludes are interspersed with technical metal passages.
