Sick Drummer Magazine Interactive Cymbal Ad Features 4 of Metal’s Best Drummers
Metal drummers might find this interesting - the latest issue of Sick Drummer magazine contains a cool interactive ad for Sabian Cymbals which lets you see and try out the cymbal configurations of Meshuggah’s Tomas Haake, Cryptopsy’s Flo Mounier, Cynic’s Sean Reinert and Dethklok / Death / Strapping Young Lad / etc.’s Gene Hoglan.
Head over to SickDrummerMagazine.com and check out Issue 5. It’s pretty cool to be able to compare the different selection of cymbals that each drummer uses and hear how it might affect their sound.
Sick Drummer Magazine is actually pretty sweet. It’s a free online magazine, which allows it to include videos, audio and other multimedia and dynamic content in the magazine. I was surprised at how well they did the web interface, it’s refreshingly easy to browse through the magazine and use all the different features in it. They routinely have interviews, lessons and other stuff featuring metal’s best drummers. I wish they had more transcriptions and lessons and stuff like that, but since there aren’t too many similar resources out there I really shouldn’t complain.
