Nadja - “Belles Betes” Out Now
Beta-lactam Ring Records has just released “Belles Betes,” a new work by Canadian drone duo Nadja. Another album titled “Under the Jaguar Sun” is set for a June/July release.
“Belles Betes” features 4 new tracks fuzzed-out heaviness. The track ‘Green & Cold’ is currently streamable from Nadja’s MySpace page, and it sounds awesome - dark and brooding yet subtly melodic.
Like most Nadja releases, “Belles Betes” is annoyingly limited. It’s being released as an LP and will be limited to 500 copies. Click the Beta-lactam link below for samples from each track and additional album info.
“Under the Jaguar Sun” will be a two-disc album with an Aztec theme. It was constructed so that each disc can be consumed individually, but both can also be played simultaneously to achieve the full effect of the composition. Judging by the samples on the Beta-lactam page, the individual tracks sound way more experimental than most of Nadja’s releases, which should make the album very interesting.
Beta-lactam will release the 2CD version in late June. A double vinyl version titled “Chalchiuhtlicue” with some exclusive extras will follow in late July. Click the Beta-lactam link below for samples from each track and additional album info.
