Mithras Guitar Instructional Video
Guitarist Leon Macey from UK death metal band Mithras has posted an instructional guitar video on YouTube that breaks down the solo from ‘The Caller And The Listener.’ In the video, Leon plays the insane solo a few times and then breaks down the various pieces more slowly, although honestly even with Leon’s help you have to be a pretty damn good guitar player to play it. At the end of the video the backing track is looped a few times so you can practice the solo. It’s very well done video and all you extreme metal guitarists out there should definitely check it out.
Apparently Leon also handles the studio drums in addition to the guitars for the band, which is just plain ridiculous. I mean, one dude having that amount of musical talent? That’s just not fair to the rest of us.
